hello.
My name is Tojo. I'm a bit of everything. Born Malagasy, Americanized in Vermont, cultured in Kenya, Californian at heart, resident of Seattle. I enjoy temperate weather, big city skylines, spontaneous adventures, people watching and orange juice. In highschool I started taking photos; bringing disposable cameras to local shows in the Sacramento area. I purchased my first 35mm SLR ever when I was employed at a thriftstore in 2002.	This escalated into an obsession with finding auction deals on ebay for vintage lenses and equipment. I would carry my film cameras everywhere I went whether it were a scenic adventure or just moving between classes in college. Speaking of college, my academic focus has been in graphic design. I hold a B.S. from Cal State University, Sacramento and an M.F.A. in visual communication design from the University of Washington.	The combination of these two disciplines has significantly influenced and shaped my personal aesthetic and continues to drive me in directions exploring how the two trades compliment each other. Most importantly, I'm having loads of fun doing what I love and what you'll find here is the outcome of just that.
